1. The Privacy Policy applies                  

This Privacy Policy applies to Airwing AS (hereinafter "we" or "us"). We are the "data controller" for the processing of your personal data described in this Privacy Policy. This means that we are responsible for defining the purposes of the processing of personal data and in addition we are responsible for complying with the applicable data protection laws in our processing of personal data.

We are committed to protecting your personal data and processing it in a confidential and safe manner. This Privacy Policy applies to our Data Collection, Use and Processing Policy. Below is an account of how we process such information.

Please note that when you contact and/or communicate with other service providers, this Privacy Policy does not apply. You have the right to contact the relevant supplier to receive information about its collection, use, processing and protection of personal data. However, personal data relating to contact with any of these service providers, which we receive or receive as part of our services, is regulated under this Privacy Policy.

2. When we process personal data                  

We collect, use and process personal data when you use our services as a customer or potential customer with us. This includes when you use and interact with our website (, book flights, or purchase other services either yourself or through third parties (e.g.  travel agencies or other airlines), or when you communicate with us by phone, email, social media or similar.

3. How we process personal data and legal basis for the processing                  

Marketing: If you have agreed to receive our newsletter via email with content about new destinations, offers etc.  we use your email address for this. This is completely voluntary and you can unsubscribe at any time. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters, you should be able to easily unsubscribe by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter. Legal basis is consent, GDPR Art. 6 no. 1 letter a.

Ticket booking: When you book a trip through us you will have to provide: gender, full name, city, country, address, email address and phone number. In some cases, we may also request a passport number and date of birth. The above information we will use first and foremost to make the booking, to send you a booking confirmation with important information about your trip, and to send you information about changes and discrepancies with your flight.

Most often when you travel with us, it involves a third party and we will provide information to that third party that is appropriate. The reason for this exchange of personal data is to ensure that the agreement on booking with the customer is fulfilled. The legal basis for the registration of the above-mentioned personal data is GDPR Art. 6 no. 1 letter b (to take measures at the data subject's request and to fulfil an agreement/order of booking).

Payment: In order to make payment for a booking, please provide a credit card holder, expiration date, card number and CVC code.  This information as well as names will be disclosed to the legitimate third party in order to complete the payment. The purpose of this is to ensure that payment is made. The legal basis is GDPR Art. 6 no. 1 letter b, customers' payment info is required in order to charge for the booking (accordingly, to fulfil an agreement). In the event of cancellation or other discrepancies requiring a refund, such information will be processed.

Other information: We also collect information in your booking number, destination, length of travel and any additional services you book with your trip. Your personal data may also be stored by our partners, such as airlines and local partners.  The legal basis is GDPR Art. 6 no. 1, litera b, to fulfil an agreement of which the data subject is a party and gdpr art. 6 no 1 letter f, a legitimate interest.

Customer support: Customer service is meant by phone and email. We will process the personal data necessary to provide the necessary customer service, including but not limited to your name, address, email address, telephone number. This information will be processed for the purpose of identifying the customer and providing the customer with the necessary customer support requested. The legal basis is GDPR Art. 6 no. 1 letter f, a legitimate interest.

Health information: In our ambulance aircraft business, the exchange of encrypted health information is required only to our supplier of health and medical personnel, Advanced Medical Support (AMS). The purpose of this is for AMS to provide the patient with proper health care. The processing of this type of data is limited only to the exchange of necessary personal data from our client to AMS. The legal basis is GDPR Art. 9 no. 2(c) of the treatment is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another physical person and GDPR art. 9 no. 2(h) of the treatment, the treatment is necessary in connection with preventive medicine, cf. also GDPR Art. 9 no. 3.

Cookies: When you visit our websites, we collect information about your use in so-called cookies. Such information is small text files stored on your device when you visit our website. The first time you visit the website, a cookie file will be sent to your device and will help identify your browser. We collect information about how you use the websites, what searches you do and what travel products you are interested in. We use cookies on the website for user pattern analysis. We analyze user behavior to improve the user experience. This could be to change the way we present information and features and to strengthen security.  Such customization may, for example, mean that we store and display information about destinations you have searched in the past on our websites, language preferences, and that we show ads and offers that we believe are appropriate for you and your wishes. This is very important to improve your user experiences.  Consequently, the purpose of using cookies is to improve the customer experience. Please note that you may prevent your device from storing cookies by adjusting settings on your browser.

4. Further information on the purposes of processing personal data                  

We store your personal data only to fulfil our obligations to you.
The information is primarily used to create tickets and for payment of services that are booked and to provide customer service to our customers.
Your personal data may also be processed in order for us to be able to comply with any applicable law or regulation or other contractual obligation that is in force.
If you or any other third party provides us with information about your health condition, they will be treated to complete the trip or other services you have booked or booked on your behalf.
We also use information about you for posting, clearing, auditing and for checking payment cards.                      

5. Storage of Personal Data                  

If you book an Airwing trip, we store your data for ten (10) years after your journey is complete in order to meet legal and regulatory requirements and process any complaints.

Otherwise, we store your personal data as long as necessary with respect to the purpose of the specific processing.

6. Your rights                  

You may request access, restriction, correction, relocation (the right to data portability) and the deletion of personal data on which we are sitting. You also have the right to request a copy of the personal data in machine-readable format. In some cases, we are required by law to process certain personal data and in these cases your rights will be limited.  If you do not wish to publish or give us access to your personal data, you are in your full right to do so, but then it may not be possible for us to provide you with the service you request and/or comply with contractual terms. If you disagree with the way we process your personal data, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.                                

7. Transfer of data                  

Airwing will initially only process personal data within the EEA area.
However, in some cases (as long as it is purpose-based) it will be necessary to transfer data outside the EEA, then we will ensure that adequate safeguards are provided so that privacy is maintained.
When we transfer personal data to states outside the EU/EEA – so-called "third countries" – we will use one of the transfer bases in Chapter V of the GDPR Regulation, such as Standard Data Protection Regulations adopted by the European Commission (Standard Contractual Clauses) and ensure that the level of protection in the Personal Data Act is not undermined by the transfer.                      

8. Why do we transfer data?                  

Airwing AS will in no way sell personal data to other companies. We only share your personal data in the following cases:

• In accordance with legislation, court decision and enforceable decision of the authorities

• With third parties, when the order includes services provided by third parties/partners

• With third-party suppliers performing tasks on our behalf, following our instructions as data processors

• To protect and defend Airwing (including enforcing applicable Terms of Use).           

9. Safety                  

We have established procedures for managing personal data in a secure manner. The measures are of both a technical and organisational nature. We carry out regular assessments of the security of all key systems used for the handling of personal data, and agreements have been entered into that require suppliers of such systems and partners to ensure satisfactory information security.

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy                  

We reserve the right to make minor changes to this Privacy Policy. In the event of significant changes to this Privacy Policy, we will inform you on our website. You will always be able to find the latest updated version on our website.
If you do not accept the new changes, we will not be happy to provide you with the services you request.                      

11. Venue                  

This Privacy Policy shall, when otherwise not specified, be construed in accordance with Norwegian law and be subject to the non-exclusive competence of Norwegian courts.
